catching up

slow down slow down
there is no air in your tyre
do you hear the wheel scratching on the pavement?
recurring noise

she struggles with balance on those heels
instable knees
sinister
why are you wearing red today?

feel the dry rosé
and taste the sweating cheese
why is love not love
why is green not red
tea's gone cold
over yet?

this is not how I used to know you
can you please can you please
wash those colours separately

she strained her ankle
bruised inside
neglect
and expectations
now: music

we should talk
about your taste of colour
too much meat
flesh, dripping, vinaceous
tender finish

catch that fish
before she dips
into the blue.
